An Australian court has declared that drug giant Nurofen has been overcharging and lying to customers. They will now be paying more than $1 million in fines over claims about their so-called specialty pills.
The drug giant sells Nurofen Back Pain, Nurofen Period Pain, Nurofen Migraine Pain and Nurofen Tension Headache…which are made from ibuprofen and nothing more.
Check out the advertisement that UK officials are planning to sue them over now:
Turns out that every single one of their pills do exactly the same thing and it’s been proven by a team of scientists. Not only did they lie about what their pills do, they charged 567% more than their competitors for the same product.
TL;DR: Buy plain old (cheap!) ibuprofen when something hurts.
